Week 6

DAY 1

Tosh continues to work towards her aspiration.  She's getting really close, but she still needs to make $5,000 from gaming or live streaming.  Again, pretty much all of her free time is spent on that computer.

Of course a good amount of time goes to caring for the babies.  Yeah, they're cute now, but at 3:00 in the morning...not so much.

DAY 2

It's been three day since they were born, so I figured it was a good enough time to age up the twins.  Emilia (Emmy) has the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration and is Athletic.

Adriana (Addy) has the Artistic Prodigy aspiration and Loves the Outdoors.

I'm pretty sure that the girls are identical.  They definitely have the same coloring - Mom's hair and Dad's eyes.  I don't intend to have either of them max their aspirations, but I will have them get up to at least a B in school before aging them to teens.

Oh, and Addy was in a sad mood after aging up because she didn't like meeting her sibling she didn't want.  Yeah, not much that she can do about that!

DAY 3

Speaking of Dad, I figured that it was about time that Terry met his children.  He came over and they had a nice family dinner.

DAY 4

Sorry.  Twin spam.  They are pretty cute.

Addy is definitely artistic.  I bought them the lump of clay, and she loves to pick it up, carry it around, and shape it into bowls and stuff.

Emmy loves being outside and spends quite a bit of time on the monkey bars.

DAY 5

Tosh maxed her video game skill today!  She also won a gaming tournament and is that much closer to her aspiration.

DAY 6

Tosh got promoted to APM Queen.  Only one promotion to go, and she's already accomplished her tasks for promotion.  All that is needed is for her performance bar to max out.

I also got her started on her fishing skill.  She doesn't seem to like it much...

DAY 7

Pools have arrived!  First of all, I love the swimsuit choices for both kids and adults.  At least for the females.  Addy and Emmy seem to like them too.

Secondly, I LOVE that the sims can swim laps in the pools now.  Finally!  That was horrible in the Sims 3.  You had to sit there and click on one side of the pool, wait for them to swim there, and then click back on the other side.  I never had my Sims build athletic in the pool because it was such an involved process.

So, the twins aged up cutely, and the pool made a nice addition to the back yard.

Week 5

DAY 1

Tosh is getting so close on both her career and aspiration.  Of course, that means lots of computer time.  I love watching her play the Sims 1.  So many happy memories of that :)

She also invited Terry Cary over this evening.  I didn't take any pictures, but you can imagine what happened while he was visiting.  Let's just say that he didn't leave until the next morning...

DAY 2

Computer.  Computer.  Computer.  That pretty much sums up Tosh's life.  I don't want to bore you with a million pictures of her at the computer, so that's why there isn't a picture for every day.

Well, Tosh woke up in the middle of the night to throw up.  I guess that we all know what that means... I wasn't planning on her having a baby this early, but we'll deal with it.

DAY 3

Tosh received confirmation today that she is eating for two.  It's a good thing that she's been saving her money because her one bedroom house isn't going to cut it anymore.  Behold the new, improved house of Tosh with a baby room and office.

She's also been spending plenty of time in her garden.  And I do mean plenty.  Seriously, I'm not a huge fan of gardening in this game so far.  It takes a ridiculous amount of time to take care of it every day and her skill isn't increasing that fast.  One thing I do like about it is that the weeds look like dandelions.  That just makes me happy.

DAY 4

Terry Cary came over, and Tosh broke the news to him that he was going to be a father.  As if the belly wasn't a big enough clue.  He actually seemed pretty happy about it.  I'm not sure that his wife will feel the same way.

DAY 5

I decided to cash in on Tosh's aspiration points and got her the Never Weary trait.  Basically, she will never need to sleep again.  With a baby on the way, I figured that she could use as many hours in a day as possible.  Plus, this means that she can work on more skills and have a little more free time during the day.

DAY 6

Labor pains struck Tosh early this morning.  Rather than letting her have the baby right away,  I set about having her continue her daily routine.  I really like that function about Sims 4.  One thing I didn't like about Sims 3 was that it was impossible to accomplish anything once they went into labor.  Oh, your Sim's bladder is on red?  Too bad!  Ugh, that could get so annoying.

Welcome to the world, Adriana Sparks!

...And Emilia Sparks!  That's right.  Tosh had twins.  Good thing that she has the Never Weary trait.  She's going to need it with two babies to take care of.

 DAY 7

Even with two babies to care for, Tosh still managed to get her work done and was rewarded with a promotion.  She's now a Pro Gamer, and only 2 promotions away from the top of her career.  Hooray!

Ha!  So, a lot happened in this update.  Seriously, I wasn't planning on Tosh having one, let alone two kids anytime near this early in the challenge, but again, she likes to have her own way.  I'm playing with aging off, so I'll keep them in each life state for a few Sim days and then grow them up.

Week 4

So, Tosh and I have both agreed that Markus didn't make the cut to be worthy of her.

DAY 1

Tosh decided to start out the week in a relaxing manner by doing some reading.  The views from her window proved to be quite a distraction, however.  I think that I might have her take up gardening for her next skill.

To promote that idea, I had her shape her bonsai tree.  And she made a freezer bunny!  How completely adorable!!  One thing that I like about the bonsai tree is all of the different shapes that it can become.

DAY 2

Nothing exciting happened.  At all.  Just a normal work day followed by several hours on the computer.  Boring!

I will say though, that I really enjoy this challenge.  It feels pretty relaxed and it's giving me a good chance to discover things about the game.

DAY 3

Are you ready for this?  Today was a huge day.  First, Tosh received a promotion, and we chose the eSports career path.  That in and of itself would have made it a good day, but Tosh had other things in mind.

Terry hadn't been over for awhile, so I invited him in when he rang the doorbell.  Let's just say that Tosh finally figured out what she wants.  I think she enjoyed that hug a little too much.

The evening turned in to a flirting session, which proved to be successful.  Terry was just as much into Tosh as she was interested in him.

And she even got her first kiss.  Actually, the notification I got said that they both got their first kiss.  Poor Terry.  Apparently his marriage isn't going so well.

But the evening didn't end with a kiss...

DAY 4

After spending the night with Terry, Tosh made them both breakfast.  They had a nice time together before he left for home...after doing the dishes of course!

Tosh then spent most of the rest of the day on the computer, which resulted in her completing another milestone!  This is the last one on the Computer Whiz one.  It's going to take awhile because she has to earn money from gaming tournaments or live streaming.  Still, the end is in sight!

DAY 5

I decided to have Tosh try her hand at gardening next.  So far, I've found that to be one of the more difficult skills, simply because it takes SO long to take care of the plants.  I do like that to improve the quality of the plant, you just have to click on it instead of replanting and waiting for it to grow again.

DAY 6

Another day.  Another broken sink.  Some of Tosh's plumbing has been repaired, but not all of it, unfortunately.

DAY 7

Since Tosh has a man in her life now, she's demanded a bedroom makeover.  She's got plenty of money, so I went ahead and made it over.

Week 3

When we last left Tosh, she was chatting it up with Stinky Markus.

DAY 1

Tosh has discovered the world of online gaming.  For both her job and her aspiration, she's going to be needing some tournament wins.  This was her first tournament, and unfortunately it didn't end well for her.

To cheer her up, she invited Markus over to visit.  I don't know how I feel about Markus, but Tosh doesn't seem to find him all that appealing.

DAY 2

In a continued effort to build Tosh's handiness skill, I had her upgrade the sink in her kitchen.  Not super exciting, but someday she will thank me for not having to fix or clean anything in her house again.

Markus showed up later in the day, so she went out to talk with him.  I can't tell if she finds him slightly funny or if she's interested in him.  He hasn't shown any romantic interest in her.

DAY 3

Tosh's life is pretty boring right now.  She literally spends almost all of her free time on the computer.  I try not to take too many screenshots of it, because it'd just be the same thing over and over again.

DAY 4

Promotion day!  Tosh is at level 5 (I think) in the Tech Guru career.  I do know that her next promotion will be the one where she chooses which path to take.

Don't you just love her new work outfit?  It's so cute and nerdy!  Although, it doesn't really seem to suit Tosh.  I don't think that I would call her cute or nerdy.

DAY 5

Tosh's days off have changed, so she had a free day today.  Not that I gave her much freedom in what she got to do.  First things first, some housecleaning was in order.  I haven't found the daily maid service to be very good in this game.  They show up some days but not on others.  I find that it's just easier to have Tosh do the cleaning.

She also got some freelance work done.  That is a nice way to bring in some extra cash and it's helping her programming skill as well.  Speaking of which, Tosh now has Level 8 in the programming skill.  Yay!

DAY 6

Tosh has quite a bit of extra money, so I've been fixing up her house and making it nicer.  Today, I worked on the front of her house while she was at work.  I had to wait until it got dark to take a picture though, because Terry made his daily visit.

DAY 7

So, the bathroom apparently got angry in the night and everything in it broke.  So much for having a nice day off.  Poor Tosh spent the whole morning fixing it all and them mopping up the puddles.  I think she now knows why I'm going to have her upgrade everything.

Afterwards, she invited Markus over.  Not that they had much of a visit.  He went straight to the computer and started playing.  And then proceeded to break the computer.  Nice guy, right?

Tosh can do so much better than him!

Week 2

So, we last left Tosh sitting sadly at her chess table.

DAY 1

Tosh has a pretty good figure, and she thinks very highly of herself.  That being said, it still takes some work to look that good.  To help her along with that, I sent Tosh out on a run.  I can't tell if she's happy to be running or simply annoyed with having to exercise.

She also invited Terry Cary over for a visit.  They are good friends now, but I don't think there's much hope for anything romantic between the two of them.  He's married and gets very uncomfortable every time Tosh tries to flirt with him.

DAY 2

Promotion day!  Which also means that Tosh was able to buy herself a nice TV and complete a milestone.  All kinds of accomplishments going on here.  To celebrate, I let Tosh kick back for the evening and just enjoy herself.

DAY 3

Nothing too exciting happened.  Terry Cary did come over for another visit.  I wish that he wasn't married.  The man did Tosh's dishes!  Without being asked!  Now if only he would be so kind as to clean the toilet.  Ewww!

DAY 4

Tosh reached another milestone!  She spends most of her free time on the computer.  Sims, Sims, and more Sims is the life for her.  But, hey, who doesn't enjoy lounging around in their pajamas just playing on the computer?

DAY 5

Tosh received another promotion today.  With all the time that she spends on the computer, it's not that surprising.  Terry Cary on the other hand, thinks she spends way too much time at work.  The man may not want a romantic relationship with her, but he spends most of the afternoon staring at her front door.  Creepy!

DAY 6

Sometimes I feel like Tosh does nothing but work and play on the computer.  Since that is her current career and aspiration, it makes sense.  But, she does get some other things done.  Sleep, for example.  She gets a good amount of sleep each night.

She's also in the process of upgrading things around her house.  Obviously, my ultimate goal is to make the stove fireproof.  At least, I hope that's possible.  Honestly, in my other saves, I just replace broken objects and don't bother with repairing them.  Lazy way out.

DAY 7

It's another promotion day for Tosh!  And we celebrated by going out and meeting new people.  I'm hoarding money right now.  I don't have any specific plans for it, but I don't want to just spend it on random things.

Anyway, we ran across this fellow while out scoping for new men.  This is Markus Pritchard.  I know it's a bad screenshot.  But the guy was carrying a bag of trash which he dropped at his feet upon seeing Tosh's beautiful face.  Or at least that's the way she tells the story.  All I know is, I just didn't want to have a nice, smelly pile of garbage in the picture.

Week 1

First of all, let's take a minute to meet the starring Sim of this challenge/blog.

Meet Natosha Sparks a.k.a. "Tosh"

I like to think of Tosh as a bit of a rebel who still keeps it classy.  She can definitely hold her own, and she doesn't need anyone else to help her through life.

Tosh is Ambitious, Self-Assured, and a Bro.  Her bonus trait is Quick Learner.

She's starting out with the Computer Whiz aspiration and the Tech Guru career.  Most likely, I'm going to have her complete the eGamer path first.

Here is Tosh's house:

It's pretty much a basic 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house.  I'm not that great of a builder, but it's got pretty much everything she needs.

Kitchen, Living room, Office with computer, bathroom, bedroom.  Nothing too fancy, but it'll do for now.

Full length shot of Tosh:

DAY 1

For the most part, I'm going to give her some free reign to do her own things.  Since this will be a lengthy challenge, she's going to need plenty of skills.  I figure that letting her figure some out on her own will help.

Anyway, she decided to pursue some logic skill and headed towards the chess table.

But really, how much fun is chess by yourself?  She quickly got bored of that, so I sent her in to play some computer games.  I'm hoping to move through the first few levels of her career rather quickly.  I love watching the Sims play the Sims.  Oh the memories of the original game!

Since I don't want Tosh to starve, dinner was next on the to-do list.  Can I just say that I love how long food lasts in this game?  I mean, I can have her make an 8-serving meal, and she'll finish all the leftovers before they go bad.  How great is that?

DAY 2

Tosh is pretty self-sufficient, but everyone needs friends.  She wandered off to meet some new people.  Our first victim target acquaintance is Mr. Terry Cary.  Yes, that is his real name.  They got to talking right away and actually got close to becoming friends.

I've found gardening to be rather tedious in this game, so we're going to start slowly and work our way up to an actual garden.  Tosh has this lovely bonsai tree (Is that the right name?  Suddenly, I'm not so sure...) to help her with the skill.

DAY 3

Ah, the first day of work.  Get used to it, Tosh.  You're going to have lots of first days.  She's already played the 4 hours of computer games needed for a raise, but a little work experience will probably help as well.

No raise, but she should get one tomorrow.  To celebrate surviving her first day, I let Tosh use the stove to make grilled cheese.  I'm wary of the stove because there's no one to extinguish Tosh if a fire breaks out.  I sincerely hope that firemen are added in a future patch.

DAY 5

Tosh got a promotion!  Hooray!  And to celebrate: she gets to work on her handiness skill.  Umm, yeah, so not that exciting, but I'd like to not panic every time that she uses the stove.

DAY 6

Today was spent practicing her programing skill.  I bought Tosh one of the lovely plumbob lamps that boosts focus, so that she can build skill at a slightly faster rate.  It seems to be working.

She also went to work and should get a raise the next time she goes in.  At the moment, she's saving all her simoleons to buy a nice, wall-mounted TV.  For her current milestone, she needs $3,000 worth of electronics.  Between her computer and a TV, she'll reach that goal.

DAY 7

No work today, so plenty of time to work on Tosh's skills.  Right away, she got to focus on her handiness skill because the computer had had enough.  Gotta love the blue screen of death, right?

It had been a few days since Tosh had talked to Terry Cary so she invited him over.  I'm sorry, I just have to say both his first and his last name.  It makes me giggle inside.  A couple hours of joking and talking and Tosh has her first friend!

After Terry Cary left, Tosh played some more Sims on her computer and reached level 5 of the gaming skill.  Not too shabby!

I also had her upgrade her shower because, well, why not?  It's one way to build the skill, and she had extra upgrade parts in her inventory.

After that, I left her to do her own thing.  Tosh decided to end the week the way she started it.  Just a lonely woman playing a game of chess by herself.  How sad!

'Til next time,
